The 2nd “Titans’ Super Cup” was held on May 21, 2006. The composition of the participants of the tournament in terms of sportsmanship did not fully meet the status of these competitions: of the eight athletes who took part in the competition, only three had the titles of Honoured Master of Sports and Master of Sports of International Class. Only two lifters showed a result exceeding 1000 kg in the triathlon. According to the regulation, the personal championship was determined by the Wilks category, which takes into account the athlete’s own weight. In this regard, there was a situation when the winner of the tournament Honoured Master of Sports from Ufa, Yuri Fedorenko (coached by B. Sheiko) scored 612.74 points with a triathlon total of 1045.0 kg. His main competitor from Kemerovo Master of Sports of international class, Oleg Gagin (coached by V. Zhuravlev) scored 583.53 points, with the best personal result of 1060.0 kg. Gagin set records for the Open Cup of St. Petersburg: in the squat - 437.5 kg and in the bench press - 287.5 kg.

I started my path in powerlifting in February 2009 in the school "Fakel" in Chelyabinsk, under the guidance of my first coach Podelko Igor Vladimirovich, with him in three years we managed to fulfill the standard of the Master of Sports of Russia, it was March 27-28, 2012 at Championship of Russia among juniors in powerlifting in Berdsk, Novosibirsk region. I then competed for two days, on the first day there was Powerlifting in equipment, I lifted 860kg in total and took 4th place, and in terms of movements I got the following 355kg squat, bench press 200kg and deadlift 305kg.
On the second day there was a classic powerlifting, the amount was 725 kg, squat 270, bench press 155 kg, deadlift 300 kg. Now I can’t imagine how then I had the strength to perform two days in a row even at the maximum of my abilities, yet now, when I’m a little over 30, it’s not so easy to digest the lifted kilograms in training, I need more time to recover. Best results 945.0kg (320.0+235.0+390.0) He was the champion of the Ural Federal District-2017.

MESSAGE FOUNDER OF THE TOURNAMENT
The 13th Tournament will take place on May 28, 2023. Taking into account the world trends in the development of powerlifting, the Tournament will be held in the classical version, without equipment, which will make it possible to objectively assess the volitional qualities and physical capabilities that the athletes participating in the Tournament will show.
The main reason for the resumption of the Tournament was that in the current situation, athletes are unfairly deprived of the opportunity to compete in international competitions. The tournament has always had the status of open and international, where athletes from other countries participated and won! The tournament is open today!
In this difficult time for the sport, I appeal to the leadership of the Russian Powerlifting Federation with a proposal to include the SUPER-CUP OF TITANS tournament in the competition calendar and propose to create a “PRO-division” within the Federation, in which athletes who, for various reasons, complete their performances in amateur sports, but are at the peak of their physical abilities, which they could demonstrate at the Tournament.
