The 1st “Titans’ Super Cup” took place on May 29, 2005 in the gym of the Military Institute of Physical Culture. According to the regulations, athletes in weight categories up to 110 kg, up to 125 kg and over 125 kg with a personal result in triathlon of more than 900 kg were allowed to compete. Only 7 athletes who represented various cities of Russia took part in this tournament: Saint Petersburg, Surgut, Ufa, Belgorod, Nyagan and Khabarovsk. The winner was Master of Sports of International Class Vladimir Bondarenko with a triathlon total of 1075.0 kg (coached by V. Mulin and B. Shchetina); the second place was taken by Master of Sports of International Class Vladimir Kalinichenko with a result of 1047.5 kg. (coached by O. Pichugin); third place was taken by Honoured Master of Sports Yuri Fedorenko with the amount of 1045.0 kg (coached by B. Sheiko).
The 2nd “Titans’ Super Cup” was held on May 21, 2006. The composition of the participants of the tournament in terms of sportsmanship did not fully meet the status of these competitions: of the eight athletes who took part in the competition, only three had the titles of Honoured Master of Sports and Master of Sports of International Class. Only two lifters showed a result exceeding 1000 kg in the triathlon. According to the regulation, the personal championship was determined by the Wilks category, which takes into account the athlete’s own weight. In this regard, there was a situation when the winner of the tournament Honoured Master of Sports from Ufa, Yuri Fedorenko (coached by B. Sheiko) scored 612.74 points with a triathlon total of 1045.0 kg. His main competitor from Kemerovo Master of Sports of international class, Oleg Gagin (coached by V. Zhuravlev) scored 583.53 points, with the best personal result of 1060.0 kg. Gagin set records for the Open Cup of St. Petersburg: in the squat - 437.5 kg and in the bench press - 287.5 kg.
The 3rd “Titans’ Super Cup” was held on May 27, 2007. Athletes with a personal result of triathlon over 950 kg were allowed to compete. The tournament was attended by 13 athletes from 11 regions of Russia. The composition of the participants in terms of sports qualifications was quite high: 2 people were Honoured Masters of Sports, 10 people were Masters of Sports of International Class, and 1 person was Master of Sports. The athlete from Kirov, Master of Sports of International Class, Themis Lambrionidis, won with the score of triathlon 100.0 kg (coached by A. Lekomtsev). The second place was won by an athlete from the Bryansk region, Master of Sports of International Class, Igor Drogobuzhev, with a result of 1035.0 kg (coached by A. Naumchenko). The third was the representative of Ufa, Honoured Master of Sports, Yuri Fedorenko, who lifted a total of 1030.0 kg (coached by B. Sheiko). It should be noted that seven participants in the total triathlon showed a result of over 1000 kg!
The 4th “Titans’ Super Cup” was held on May 25, 2008. The tournament was attended by 15 of the strongest lifters of the country, among which there were 3 Honoured Masters of Sports and 12 Masters of Sports of International Class. Athletes represented 12 regions of the Russian Federation. As a result, the places were distributed as follows: the winner of the 2008’s Super Cup was the Honoured Master of Sports from Moscow, Andrey Malanichev with the sum of the triathlon being 1165.0 kg (coached by S. Kosarev), the second place was taken by Honoured Master of Sports from Vladimir, Nikolay Suslov, who eventually showed 1062.5 kg (coached by S. Ivanov and I. Butusov). The third place was taken by Master of Sports of International Classcfrom Kirov, Themis Lambrionidis, with the amount of 1057.5 kg (coached by A. Lekomtsev). During the tournament, 10 athletes showed the highest level of training and exceeded 1000 kg in the total triathlon!
The 5th “Titans’ Super Cup” was held on May 24, 2009 traditionally within the walls of the Military Institute of Physical Culture. According to the terms of the tournament, athletes with a personal result of over 1000 kg were allowed to compete. 12 of the best power triathletes of Russia took part in the tournament. All participants were awarded. The winner was again the representative of the capital of Russia, Andrey Malanichev, with the score of 1170 kg. The second place, the same as a year ago, was taken by Nikolai Suslov from Vladimir (1085 kg), the third went to Andrey Belyaev from Kirov, with the score of 1070 kg.
The 6th “Titan’s Super Cup” was held on May 23, 2010 at the same place. Nine athletes participated: seven from Russia and one each from Ukraine and Finland. The qualifying amount was 1020 kg. The organising Committee of the tournament provided a prize fund in the amount of 1.200.000 Russian Rubles, distributed among all participants. The main prize of the tournament again went to Andrey Malanichev, who, same as a year ago, raised 1,170 kg in the triathlon. The second place was taken by the outstanding Ukrainian athlete Yevhen Yarymbash, who was only 20 kg behind the winner. The third place was left for Vladimir Kalinichenko from Serpukhov, who showed a result of 1065 kg.
The 7th “Titan’s Super Cup” was held on May 22, 2011. 8 strongest athletes from four countries - Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania and the USA, with a personal result of at least 1030 kg, took the stage. The prize fund was 1,300,000 rubles and according to the Regulations of the tournament, this amount was distributed among all participants. The victory went to the representative of Ukraine Evgeny Yarymbash, who scored a record 1,195 kg. Andrey Malanichev from Moscow remained second with a total of 1,180 kg. The third result was shown by Andrey Belyaev from Kirov - 1100 kg.
The 8th “Titan’s Super Cup” was held in the Military Institute of Physical Culture on May 27, 2012. 10 strongest athletes from three countries - Russia, Ukraine and Lithuania, who have a personal result of at least 1030 kg, participated in the event. The prize fund was 2,200,000 rubles and according to the Regulations on the tournament, this amount was distributed among all participants. The victory went to the representative of Russia Andrey Malanichev, who gained 1150 kg. The second place was taken by Alexander Klyushev with the score of 1100 kg. The third place was taken by Vladimir Kalinichenko, with the score of 1100 kg .
The 9th “Titan’s Super Cup” was held on May 26, 2013. According to the terms of the tournament, athletes with a personal result of more than 1050 kg were allowed to compete. The 5 best power triathletes from Russia, Lithuania and Ukraine took the stage. All participants were awarded. The winner was the representative of Ukraine Evgeny Yarymbash, with the score of 1200 kg, the second place was taken by Andrey Malanichev with the score of 1165 kg, the third was Vidas Blekaitis, who scored 1112.5 kg.
The 10th “Titan’s Super Cup” was held on May 25, 2014. 6 athletes from Russia, Lithuania and Ukraine took part in the tournament. The prize fund was 2,500,000 rubles and according to the Regulations of the tournament, this amount was distributed among all participants. As a result, the places were distributed as follows: the winner was the Ukrainian Evgeny Yarymbash with the score of the triathlon being 1185 kg, the second place was taken by Andrey Malanichev, who showed a result of 1170 kg, the third was Ivan Freydun with the score of 1122.5 kg.
The 11th “Titans’ Super Cup” was held on May 31, 2015. Eight athletes from Russia, Lithuania, Ukraine and the USA participated. The qualifying amount was 1050 kg. The organising Committee of the tournament provided a prize fund in the amount of 3,500,000 rubles, distributed among all participants. The main prize of the tournament went to Andrey Malanichev, who raised 1,160 kg in the triathlon. The second place was taken by Timur Gadiyev with a result of 1150 kg . The third place was taken by Evgeny Yarymbash, who showed a score of 1135 kg .
The 12th “Titans’ Super Cup” was held on May 29, 2016. Seven athletes from Russia and Ukraine, who have a personal score of at least 1050 kg, came to the platform. The victory went to the representative of Ukraine Evgeny Yarymbash, who scored a record 1221 kg. Roman Voroshilin remained second with the amount of 1132.5 kg. The third result was shown by Yuri Belkin who gained 1130 kg.
